The Fear Of The Lord

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom as the book of proverbs says. The question is, what is the fear of the Lord? The fear of the lord has no relation with church activities or being religious. The fear of the Lord has no relation with being a gospel artist or musician. The fear of the Lord has no relation with being a church worker. The fear of the Lord has no relation with being a pastor.

The fear of the Lord is an attitude, character and a habit. It is all about putting God first in everything you do and acknowledging him for who you are and in your achievements. This is the truth and nothing else. I do not write based on my own understandings but by the Spirit of God that works in us, both to will and to do. As I am led to type or write, I also learn.

If you wake up in the morning and the first thing you do is to pick your phone, put on your data and visit any social media platform, you do not have the fear of the Lord in you because the fear of the Lord is putting God first above everything.

If you find yourself chatting on WhatsApp or on social media while in church, I'm afraid to tell you that you do not have the fear of the Lord.

If you insult your spiritual authorities and talk ill about them behind their back or in their presence, I'm afraid to let you know that you do not have the fear of the Lord.

Finally, I want to conclude and say that the fear of the Lord is obeying his word, our manual and having a personal relationship with him through meditation and praying. I urge you all to be very conscious of these petty things because the systems of the world has a way of stealing our heart from the things we need to do as children of God.
